A nocturnal watch on Day 17 brings eerie surprises. We had heard about what could happen during a night watch at the Women’s Health clinic. But the stories fail to prepare us for what we see in person. Please listen to the podcast.

The Gardener Behind the Wall

When I arrive at the clinic today, there is nobody there praying.  Cars are in the parking lot…I see a black Mercedes convertible and wonder if that is the clinic owner’s car.  It doesn’t seem like patients are coming in…the people driving in look like employees.  Is there a staff meeting today perhaps?

A Dull Roar

Today when we get to the clinic on Haworth Street it is very noisy.  The sound system is still up and across the street there are men working on the parking lot with noisy machines.  There are many going on all at once; it’s like a dull roar.  A very loud dull roar.
My heart is [...]
